The City of the Hills Festival, presented by CANO, celebrates the arts and community in vibrant downtown Oneonta, NY! Nestled along the Susquehanna River in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, Oneonta was named a Top-10 Arts-Vibrant Micropolitan Community of America.
We are excited to announce that City of the Hills Festival is back on Main Street Saturday, September 13 & Sunday, September 14, noon-5pm. Vendors, performances, public art, music, a kids’ zone, art workshops, downtown retail establishments and restaurants and downtown art walk featuring ARCAG by Joseph Von Stengel, photo op cut outs by local artists and more.
Embracing diversity, equity and inclusion is core to CANO’s mission of supporting artists and educating the community. The festival provides the diverse voices in our region a safe space to openly express themselves and creates a dialogue with festival goers that encourages listening, understanding and learning from others’ experiences. We denounce racism, intolerance and exclusion and celebrate the many community members that make our city so amazing!
City of the Hills Fest is not just a 2-day festival. Throughout the year, we offer a variety of events, like our Holiday Market Pops Up at CANO and social mixers, that give artists, performers, and downtown businesses more opportunities to bring arts and culture to the Oneonta area.
